“Van Operator of the Month” is a top-level award for Van Operators (Drivers) presented by Mayflower Transit in recognition for outstanding performance in service and safety.
Mike earned the award during May, which is the start of the busy season for us movers. The American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA) shares that “National Moving Month each May kicks off the busy summer moving season as Americans move from one home to another, across town or around the nation. The U.S. Census estimates there are 3 million moves from state to state each year, with 800,000 of those handled by professional movers.”
Thousands of Van Operators around the United States compete for this award yet only a few qualify. worth mentioning is that Mike has received the Honorable Mention for this award a few times in the past 12 months. Strict rules are in place for earning Mayflower’s Van Operator of the Month – Excellent Performance Award. To qualify, a Van Operator must meet minimum statistical criteria. These criteria are designed to encompass all areas of Van Operator performance, which include customer service, safety and cargo claims prevention, good communications, etc. A perfect score of 100 in safety, reaching a target number of miles logged and having a very low claims liability are some of the requirements. Winners and runners-up receive cash, recognition for being a top-rated Van Operator, and of course the share-worthy bragging rights to go with it!
